THE ADVENTURES OF RACER JAKE He's a Rookie with a capital "R"
In honor of Racer Jake's upcoming 3rd Birthday, I present the very first Racer Jake I posted in July of 2004.
( A special thanks to Deb aka 'Our Guy6' for saving this and sending it to me!)
Hi! I'm Racer Jake! I'm the only 10 month old NASCAR racer. I'd like you to meet my one and only pit crew member standing on my left, I call him 'Pops'. I don't pay him, so he is sluggish and tends to be very bossy. Today for your entertainment I will show you how the perfect pitstop is performed!
First, Pops help me into my heavy-duty, hemi-powered Dodge Ram. Because basically I can't walk yet.
Then I take a couple of break-neck speed laps around the track and come slidding into pit road standing straight up on the brakes. My pit guy then jumps into action!
Well, I wouldn't call that "jumping into action". I would call that "sitting and staring at me". Come on Pops, let's go, go, go!
Dude! The gas doesn't go in that hole, it goes in the other one!
Thank goodness he's finally working! I'll just sit here and check out my control panel and...GREAT GOOGALIE MOOGALIE! I CAN'T READ!
Forget all this mess! I'm losing track postition! I'm putting the pedal to the metal and I'm out of here!!!
Whoa! It seems I'm still on the jack! Since I burned the rubber off the right sides trying to get out of here, how about a 2 tire change over there.
Jeez! This guy is as slow as a snail on valium! Guess I'll have to clean my own windshield off!
This pitstop is over in a record 20 minutes and I'm OFF!!!
What! This can't be happening! The Mommy person has come out and said I will not be racing anymore today! Who does she think she is!
It's no wonder I hit the Bottle so much! And what's with the pink blanket! I'm Racer Jake! ZZZZZZZZZ
